Brief overview

Scuba dive Turks and CaicosTurks and Caicos diving offers the scuba diving enthusiast some of the most dramatic Caribbean wall diving in the world, colorful reef systems, and bountiful tropical fish habitats. Provo diving (short for Providenciales, TCI's largest island) truly boasts a repertoire of the finest dive sites found anywhere in the World, and in the Caribbean.

The islands have many miles of 6000 foot vertical walls drop-offs, canyons and pinnacles. Expect to see a complete spectrum of corals, sponges, small tropical fish, mid-sized groupers, barracudas, turtles, nurse sharks and many larger pelagics... keep one eye in the blue for constant visuals of reef shark, eagle rays, plus occasional hammerhead and manta.

When to go

The diving in the Turks and Caicos is good all year round. North Atlantic Humpback whales pass by the islands on their annual migration route (Janurary - March) and can be seen near Grand Turk and West Caicos. Hurricane season which starts in June and runs until the end of November each year is something to be aware of, if planning a trip to the islands. Summer is considered the "slow" season and many of the resorts offer discounted rates during this time period.
